Book Review: Beautiful Ugly by Alice Feeney
As a long-time fan of Alice Feeney’s psychological thrillers, I can confidently say Beautiful Ugly is one of her most gripping novels yet. While Good Bad Girl didn’t quite hit the mark for me, this one pulled me right back into Feeney’s addictive world of suspense, emotion, and jaw-dropping twists.
I’ll admit, I’ve been on a bit of a romance binge lately—Abby Jimenez-style. After devouring books like Yours Truly, Just for the Summer, and Life’s Too Short, jumping into a dark thriller again took a little adjustment. (Especially with the audiobook’s Scottish accent, which grew on me!) But once I was in, I was in.
Feeney’s writing is sharp, emotional, and deeply human. The ending? Absolutely shocking in the best way possible. If you love a good mystery, especially those wrapped in grief, love, and deception, you’ll be hooked.
